Family Photo Session at Mary Seawright Park

Being a photographer in Austin, Tx we know that spring is a great time for outdoor family photo sessions. Recently I got to do an outdoor session with the Flores family. Mary Seawright is one of my favorite places to shoot in South Austin. Although it’s right off one of Austin’s busiest streets this park has pavilions, greenbelt trails, a creek and even a frisbee golf course. Oh and did I mention the horse trail?
This mom thought like most 6 year old boys, her son would not want to take pictures. She had heard from a neighbor I was good with kids. (I had been photographing the neighbors son for years, and was the only one who could capture his true personality) I was definitely up for the challenge.  Although he started out not wanting to get out the car, by the end of the session he didn’t want to leave the park!  He had a blast! You wouldn’t either if you saw a roadrunner, deer, ladybug, rollie pollie, and grasshoppers during your photo session.
Since the family loved to listen to records we brought the record player and had a listening session right on a picnic area.
